In the EU, over 100 million people, mostly vulnerable, cannot keep their homes comfortably cool in summer. Hence more attention is needed to the issue of summertime energy poverty (SEP), in research and in policy-making.
The event “Summer energy poverty: thinking outside of the box” will take place within the EUSEW extended programme on the 19th of September, 2022, 15:00-16:30h CET.
We are continuing to introduce you shortly our speakers and the topics we shall address during the session. Today we are going to introduce you Mr. Julien Joubert. Julien Joubert have worked on project management at Energy Cities since 2018. He was involved in different projects related to energy planning and heating and cooling, such as the H2020 projects “Hotmaps” and “DecarbCityPipes2050” which develop a strategic heating and planning tool to support local authorities, and heating and cooling decarbonisation roadmaps in 6 cities.
Mr. Joubert will present the topic “Role of public authorities and urban measures to tackle Summer energy poverty”.
