In the first week of April, ViLabs initiated the Cooltorise training for the Summer Energy Poverty Agents. They organized a two days event in Thessaloniki and invited the first group of SEPAs. About 20 people attended the training, willing to participate in the Cooltorise activities and support the households throughout the project activities.
During these two days, the participants learned about the project objectives, methodology and activities, as well as useful information about summer energy poverty. The training also included a description of the tasks and the contribution expected from them as SEPAs. Furthermore, the team provided the participants with all the instructions and material to be used to help the households during the implementation of the activities, including advice on how to approach them using their communication skills.
The participants were very keen to become the Cooltorise Summer Energy Poverty Agents and participate in the workshops and the outdoor interventions, as well as support the households in the implementation of the proposed solutions.
Training activities will continue in May 2022, in order to increase the number of SEPAs who pass the Cooltorise training course and to increase awareness around summer energy poverty.
